Through true stories (we name names!) of struggle and triumph, we remember the horrible and the fabulous history of Montréal's queer people and institutions. You'll hear about the bars, the police raids, the parties, the cruising, the protests, the lives lost and the battles won that paved the way to today.

In the Shadow of the Mountain (2-hour tour) takes you through the Plateau neighborhood and traces the roots of Montreal’s Jewish community through early 20th century Yiddish and then English literature. By way of poetry and novels, this tour explores how Jews envisioned their life in Montreal and contrasts these utopic visions to the realities of life in the city. The Treetop walk is a new and truly unique way to take in scenic views from above the trees. You will start the walk along a path that winds through the forest and up to the treetops. The nearly one-kilometre path leads to the observation tower that rises 40 m (equivalent to a 12-storey building) above the forest to offer a stunning bird’s eye view of the Laurentian forests and mountains. The walk ways and main tower, with a maximum slope of 6 degrees, are completely accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. From the top, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the rolling hills typical of the Laurentian mountain range, and landmarks such as Mont-Tremblant. The total distance including the tower walk is 2.7 km round trip and takes about 2 hours. The activity takes place at a former fish hatchery with lovely grounds and a heritage building that includes a restaurant.

You will become a confident baker at home in no time! We will go step by step from mixing the dough, letting it rest, to shaping the bagels, to boiling them, dressing them with various toppings, baking them and finally eating them!
